Nairobi Environment Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has stepped in to aid a man living in dire conditions along the road reserve next to Railways Golf Club, directly opposite Green Park. The man, described as a “Rastaman,” had made a makeshift structure there, had been neglected, and was reluctant to accept help due to past broken promises from strangers, including pastors. On Wednesday, September 24, Mosiria visited the man, helped him shower, bought him new clothes and food, and pledged to pay his rent for the next three months. He also promised to connect him with a counsellor to support his reintegration into society. Tuko.co.ke – Kenya news.
Mosiria also committed to clearing the makeshift structure and restoring dignity to the area. He appealed to Kenyans to show compassion toward people living on the streets, saying that helping someone doesn’t necessarily require wealth but action and empathy. Tuko.co.ke – Kenya news.
