The Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), the principal government agency responsible for collecting, analyzing, and publishing official statistics, is hiring an ICT Officer (Job Group KNBS 6).
The role focuses on managing ICT infrastructure, data systems, and digital services that support Kenya’s statistical operations.
Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support for KNBS information systems.

Manage ICT infrastructure including servers, databases, and networks.

Support software development, upgrades, and maintenance.

Implement data security protocols and ensure system integrity.

Assist in the deployment of statistical data collection systems.

Troubleshoot ICT-related issues and provide end-user training.

Collaborate with internal teams and external ICT partners.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Professional certification in CCNA, MCSE, ITIL, or Cybersecurity is an added advantage.

At least 2 years of ICT experience in systems administration or software support.

Strong understanding of networking, databases, and cloud systems.

Analytical problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of government ICT standards and e-governance systems preferred.
