Kasipul By-Election: Late Ong’ondo Were’s Son Boyd Wins ODM Party Primaries

In a significant development ahead of the upcoming Kasipul by-election, Boyd Were, son of the late Charles Ong’ondo Were, emerged victorious in the ODM party primaries to be flagged as the party’s candidate. During the nomination exercise held on Wednesday, September 24, Boyd garnered strong support and was confirmed as the ODM candidate.

The primaries were not without controversy. There were reports of delays, disruptions, and accusations of interference, with the party later blaming Homa Bay’s Deputy Governor Oyugi Magwanga for alleged interference in the process.
